A 23x21mm plaster-in LED aluminium profile is designed to be integrated directly into plasterboard or drywall surfaces to create a flush or seamless lighting effect. It provides a recessed channel to house LED strip lights, producing a clean and architectural lighting design.

This versatile plaster in LED channel is designed to create a trim less finish and has a selection of diffusers and end caps available to help create your desired result.

There are standard diffusers and end caps for a flush mounted finish and box style diffusers and end caps for a protruding finish to your installation. 

The standard diffuser is also available in a continuous 20 Metre Length for a seamless diffuser finish.

Hints and tips:

Diffusers

Diffusers will affect the brightness and CCT (colour temperature) of an LED tape when housed in a LED channel or profile. 

• Transparent Diffuser: 90-95% of the brightness of the installed LED strip light will shine through
• Semi-Clear Diffuser: 70-75% of the brightness of the installed LED strip light will shine through
• Opal Diffuser: 45-50% of the brightness of the installed LED strip light will shine through

As well as the brightness, diffusers will also alter the kelvin temperature of the installed LED strip light by approximately 10%. Opal diffusers will make the kelvin temperature/CCT appear warmer, semi clear diffusers will make the Kelvin Temperature/CCT appear cooler and transparent diffusers will have no effect.

As an example, a 6000K 1000 lumen per metre LED strip light installed inside a metre length of LED channel using an opal diffuser would create a light bar with an overall output of approximately 5600K and 450 to 500 lumens.

Non-spotting finish

To achieve a highly desired non spotting finish, consider using this profile with an LED that has 120 LEDs per metre or more and consider using an opal diffuser. As a rule of thumb, the more LEDs per metre on your chosen strip light, the less chance there will be of a spotting/dotting effect.
