Here at Ultra LEDs, we're passionate about protecting the environment, which is why we focus on making sustainable and eco-friendly lighting solutions.

All of our LED strip lights, bulbs, and neon flex are up to 80% more energy efficient than traditional lighting options. This means they require far less electricity to provide you with the same results. Not only is this great news for the environment, but it means installing our eco-friendly light bulbs in your home or business premises could save you a lot of money in the long run, as your energy bills will be much lower.

LED bulbs also have much longer lifespans than their alternatives. In fact, they last approximately 50 times longer than incandescent bulbs, 20–25 times longer than your typical halogen bulb, and 8–10 times longer than a compact fluorescent lamp. So, when you make the switch to LED eco lighting, you'll have to change your bulbs far less frequently, which will reduce how much waste you're throwing away.

We also focus on designing and producing high-quality and reliable sustainable lighting fixtures. As a result, very few of our products are ever returned or replaced, which limits our carbon footprint even further.

It's not just our products that are eco-friendly, either. We've put a lot of effort into ensuring every area of our business is sustainable. Here are just some of the main steps we've been taking.

• Eco-friendly packaging: We repurpose all of our cardboard by shredding it, then using it to pack our parcels. This eliminates the need for us to buy and use plastic packaging, such as bubble wrap.
• Recycling: We put a lot of time and effort into recycling as much of our waste metal and cabling as possible. We also make a conscious effort to reduce and reuse a lot of the materials involved in our production processes. In addition to this, our office only uses recycled paper, which has been created without the use of chlorine or bleach.
• Green energy: All of the gas and electricity we use comes from renewable sources. We're also investing in solar panels, which should provide us with a lot of the energy we need, despite the fact that we're based in rainy Manchester. And, of course, all of our business' lighting is LED.
